CrowdCue ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by RSTLN.Tech. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the CrowdCue mobile application and DJ dashboard.

01 — Information We Collect

When you use CrowdCue as a guest, we collect:

• Your name and email address (entered at login)
• Song requests you submit during an event
• The event code used to join a session
• A user ID generated at login (via Firebase Authentication)
• Device push notification token (for request status updates)

When you use CrowdCue as a DJ, we collect:

• Your name, email address, and password (used to create your account)
• DJ profile information (photo, social media links, booking details)
• Session data including event names, event codes, and request history

02 — How We Use Your Information

• To process and display song requests to the DJ
• To notify you when your request is approved or declined
• To allow DJs to manage their events and guest lists
• To improve the CrowdCue service

03 — Data Storage & Security

All data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage), a Google Cloud service. Firebase is SOC 2 compliant and uses industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

Guest session data is associated with your anonymous user ID and event session. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

04 — Third-Party Services

CrowdCue uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and file storage
• Spotify API — song search (no Spotify account required)
• Apple Push Notification Service — request status notifications

05 — Data Retention

Guest personal data (name, email, user ID) is deleted automatically when the DJ ends the event session. Song requests are retained in anonymized form (without any personal identifiers) for the DJ's session history. DJ account data is retained until the account is deleted.

06 — Children's Privacy

CrowdCue is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

07 — Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

08 — Canadian Privacy Law (PIPEDA)

CrowdCue is operated from Canada and complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of CrowdCue after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
